Grain used in Chirina’s feed production is mainly produced in Georgia. Chirina owns lands near village Sartichala, where high quality corn and wheat are grown. In addition, company also buys and processes grain from local farmers thus further promoting the agricultural development in Georgia.
Grain processing and storage is the key aspect of Chirina’s vertically integrated production. Chirina built the largest dryer and storage plant in Georgia with its British partner Chief Industries. Chief operates in agro industry for more than 40 years and is one of the leading companies in building grain drying, storing facilities.
Grain is accepted for processing only if it successfully undergoes laboratory testing.
Chirina’s dryer complex includes grain receiving screen, dryer, ventilated storing siloes. The ventilation system of siloes ensures best storage conditions for the grain throughout whole year.
